The blade itself has been forged and the bevels roughly filed in. The tines are shaped and will be filed next:

Heating Canola oil to around 160F using a can of oil inside a container of water. The reason you heat the oil is to lower it's viscosity so it cools the blade down quickly enough during quenching.

Right after the hardening process. Next it goes into the over for an hour at 350F.

Post tempering with just a bit of the scale removed. I stopped here because I have to go find and unpack my stones before I can carry on.
